Waiver/TERMS & CONDITIONS
By booking a sauna + cold plunge session at Riverdale, you agree to the following terms and conditions. If you are booking on behalf of a group, it is your responsibility to ensure that all participants have read, understood, and agreed to this waiver and are aware of safe sauna practices.
Health & Safety Restrictions
You must not use the sauna if you:
Have high or low blood pressure, heart or circulatory disorders, epilepsy, or diabetes.
Are pregnant.
Are prone to dizziness or fainting.
Riverdale Sauna operators reserve the right to refuse entry if they believe an individual’s health or safety may be at risk. Refunds will not be issued to those refused entry on these grounds.
Use of the Cold Plunge Tubs
Entering the cold plunge tin baths is entirely at your own risk.
It is your responsibility to assess and manage exposure to cold water.
Sauna Usage Guidelines
Sauna temperatures typically range between 60-90°C.
If you need to add wood to the stove, please be careful as the metal surround and door will be very hot.
Alcohol, drugs, and nudity are strictly prohibited. Any intoxicated or disruptive individuals will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.
Sauna sessions are only available to individuals aged 16 and over.
Remove all loose jewellery before entering the sauna to prevent burns.
Sauna Etiquette
To ensure a comfortable and hygienic experience for all, please adhere to the following etiquette:
Wash your feet in the shower provided before entering the sauna.
Sit on a towel at all times for hygiene and to absorb sweat.
Limit sauna sessions to a maximum of 20 minutes at a time (we recommend 5-15 minutes depending on experience).
Pour water gently over the hot rocks using the ladle, from the back to the front, to prevent burns from steam. Do not pour water directly onto yourself.
Only use the provided ‘sauna water’- Do not add anything else to the hot rocks.
Ensure you are changed and ready within your booked time slot if using the changing area.
By entering Riverdale sauna or cold plunge, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. Riverdale is not responsible for any injuries, health conditions, or accidents resulting from the use of its facilities.
